Biewer Terrier Information
Bred in Germany, the Biewer Terrier is a rare breed small dog that is bred from the Yorkshire Terriers. The canine is known for its straight and long hair that drops right down on either side of the body. Breeders state that a purebred Biewer Terrier should have a tail that carries upwards and the canine must be well proportioned. Its hair is never curly or wooly and the hair on the legs and the breast are always pure white. This breed is said to have originated on January 20, 1984. The breed came into existence by breeding Gertrud and Werner Biewer Yorkshire Terriers. The Biewer Terrier breed was recognized in 1989 and since then there has been no stopping it. Breeders state that according to the recent standards, this breed has been accepted with undocked tails and also with the color black on their coat.
